Ebook Viewer Error on Every Book
Have checked the forums and found a few similar issues but nothing suggested for those has worked. Am running:
- Windows 7, Home Premium - iObit Advanced System Care Ultimate Anti-Virus/Real-time Protection/Firewall (Whitelisted entire Calibre folder and library folder) - UAC turned off completely - Temp folder set to full access - Calibre v 1.26 [64-bit] (All files DRM-free ePub) - Ran Calibre as both Normal User and Administrator with same results Got a new laptop last week and installed Calibre and moved entire library to new computer. Every book I open reads fine for a few chapters then when the next chapter tries to load I get flow message and this error: calibre, version 1.26.0 ERROR: Unhandled exception: <b>IOError</b>:[Errno 2] No such file or directory: u'C:\\Users\\GabryylP\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\calib re_0lnyuj\\z1w_7r_ebook_iter\\Davies_Corin-ge_Everlasting_split_012.html' calibre 1.26 [64bit] isfrozen: True is64bit: True Windows-7-6.1.7601-SP1 Windows ('64bit', 'WindowsPE') ('Windows', '7', '6.1.7601') Python 2.7.5 Windows: ('7', '6.1.7601', 'SP1', 'Multiprocessor Free') Traceback (most recent call last): File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\viewer\documentview.py", line 1165, in wheelEvent File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\viewer\main.py", line 1109, in next_document File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\viewer\main.py", line 882, in load_path File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\viewer\documentview.py", line 833, in load_path File "site-packages\calibre\ebooks\oeb\display\webview.py", line 44, in load_html IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: u'C:\\Users\\GabryylP\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\calib re_0lnyuj\\z1w_7r_ebook_iter\\Davies_Corin-ge_Everlasting_split_012.html' If I close the ebook viewer and open the file again it starts up where I left off and reads fine until the end. Any ideas what else I can try? |

@gabryyl You could try giving calibre dedicated temporary storage via CALIBRE_TEMP_DIR. See ==>> http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/cust...ment-variables
Suggest make a root level directory of system drive - eg C:\_CalTemp - so its easy to find. BR Last edited by BetterRed; 03-07-2014 at 04:24 PM. |
