Cover resize

I am starting to use the Calibre editor and find it a great start. Once clips and stored searches work I'll drop Sigil. I had a book in Calibre that I wanted to re-size the cover on. I did the following:

1. select the book from the list.
2. Pressed the editor button on the icons.
3. Double clicked on the cover image file.
4. Selected the re-size icon.
5. Entered the new size and pressed OK.
6. Pressed the save icon for the book.
7. Closed the editor.

The change did not get to the book in Calibre. Re-editing the book and looking at the cover shows the old image size. What am I doing wrong or forgetting to do? Probably a very simple answer that I just can't see.

Works for me, on an epub file. Are you editing epub or azw3?

Epub. I am on a MacBook if that is an issue. The book was edited under Sigil and then added to Calibre. The only file I opened was the cover and the only change was to resize the cover. I am looking forward to the editor, but I'm a heavy user of clips and saved searches. I am waiting patiently for your solution to those two items. Thank you for your passion for this product. There is also a mobi copy of the same book. Tomorrow I'll remove it and try again.
