Hi all,

Just wanted to drop a note and say hey. I've been a longtime lurker and this site was intrumental in helping me decide to purchase my Sony Reader.

In addition to providing me the info to purchase my Sony Reader PRS-500, as well as provide the software to get my plain text files to it using my iBook.

To all the contributors you are much appreciated by all. I think in general the ebook community would be much the worse off without an excellent non-biased site like this one.

I have fond memories of Roanoke (my home town by the way) but that was many years ago when Ike was President. I started school in the little building at Virginia Heights.

Anyway, I've had my 500 for over a year and use it more now than I did at the start. As a long time lurker (I wondered who that was hiding back there) I am sure that you have already found the great selection of public domain Sony formatted ebooks available for free download here at MR.

Welcome. I'm a Kindle user, but totally hooked on electronic books. If I could afford it, I'd have one of each -- just for the experience of messing around with them.
