Troubleshooting Did I break my K2?

My Kindle 2 was working fine until the 5-Way button stopped functioning (It would continuously scroll up). I bought a broken demo-unit off eBay and replaced the broken part. It worked except I forgot to plug back in the left Next Page buttons, so I took it back apart to plug it in.

Now it is stuck on the screensaver, I promise I have tried everything: charging it for a day and holding the power button for 2 minutes, etc. I even tried resetting what I assume is a Hard-Reset button on the motherboard.

I am afraid I might have shorted something, but I don't know what to check or even what might be wrong (I have a multimeter).

Symptoms:
- Stuck on Screensaver
- When charging (through computer), orange/yellow light will stay on for about 90 minutes until turning off (no green light) (I have tested that time twice)
- Not recognized by PC
- Voltage is 4.0 DC through the left-most contact

Have you tried charging with a different USB cable, from a wall charger? Cables go bad sometimes.

Yes, I have tried 3 different ones. And they all work with my phone. Thanks.
