Page Numbers - Kindle
When I create and open the Sigil ebook in Kindle Fire Previewer, It automatically starts on the third page, which is actually showing as page 17. How do I get it to start on the cover page?

For some reason it skips pages ...
-page 3 is shown as 17,
-page 4 is shown as 32

and so on.

I'm hoping it's a simple fix with my format or html???

I'm not looking to chit chat, just a solution please .

Getting Real Page Numbers will require using a Page-map or a PageList and requires you actually publish it on Amazon; Kindlegen will only generate an index that Amazon can turn into the required .apnx

Page numbers are kind of meaningless in an ebook -- what size page is it supposed to correspond to anyway, in a format where the size of a page is user-controlled?

As far as where you start the book, it is controlled by a Sigil option -- right click on the html page where the book should open, select Add Semantics, and choose "Text". (see screenshot)

Indeed. Instant answers without any hint of any intent to provide or make any contributions to the forum community are happily provided by many members here, at their private businesses, for consulting fees.

Not to be peskily pedantic or anything, but in addition to that, this is the SIGIL forum, not the MOBI forum. You might ask over there. (Mods: can somebody move this to the appropriate forum? He'll have better luck there.)

Lastly: those aren't page numbers. But, hey, I don't want to break the "no chit chat" rule by talking about that further.
