Oberon discontinuing Reader/Tablet sleeves

Just a heads-up if anyone here was considering having one made.

Per their Facebook post on 31 January -

Quote:
CHANGES AT OBERON! Products discontinued in two weeks!

We are discontinuing a few less popular products: Mini and Medium Tablet Sleeves, Cell Phone (not smartphone) Covers. You have two weeks to order these items in the colors and images you would prefer.

Nook covers can still be made for Nook device fans but we will ask that you order by phone. Thanks for making a note.

Bummer. I love the Oberon cover I have for my Sony 650.

Well, considering that the cover will outlast the device by a significant margin of time, and each device seems to be just different enough that you can't repurpose the cover, I'm not surprised. My cover for my original Sony 505 cost as much almost as much as the reader itself. And the reader is gone now.

It's the generic device sleeves, not the covers that are being discontinued.

They are still offering the Kindle and tablet/iPad book-style covers, and Nook covers by phone order. Sorry if my post caused any confusion.

Ravensknight - I've had pretty good luck using their covers on devices they weren't intended for. The kindle touch and k4NT covers work for my Sonys and Kobos really nicely.

Yes, Avenue of Trees! I've been lusting after that one for a journal cover.

In the end, I had to go with the Van Gogh that matched my 300's skin.
