Exclamation Downloading & Reading Kindle on Linux

Hi guys, I hope this is the right sub-forum for this question. My friend is a Hudl owner with a Linux PC. She can read kindle books on her Hudl by using the kindle app, but she can't access the actual files on the Hudl to transfer them over to her PC. And because her PC is Linux, she can't just download her ebooks to the Kindle for PC.

Does anyone have any ideas for how she could access the mobi and azw files of her ebooks? Or any way to get Kindle for PC to work on Linux? She's tried quite a few things that haven't worked - PlayonLinux didn't, for example.

Help?

As noted above, you can install the Kindle app through the wine emulator for linux.

It is probably best done by using the key words 'install' 'kindle' and the name of her specific distribution in the search engine of your choice and following the most convenient/understandable tutorial.

Sometimes the program you are using to transfer files to an android device will not recognize the device properly if the screen is locked.
