Sending ebooks from device to library?

I have some books which are on my device but not in the Calibre library.
How do I transfer them to the library?

If they are visible in Calibre in the Device view, then there is an option to add them on the right-click menu to add them to the library.

However I believe that the Kobo hides books that have been downloaded from Kobo, so you have to download such books from your Kobo account with a browser to add them to Calibre.

Thanks itimpi, I've now found it.

As you say - select the book/s in the Device View, and then right click for an option 'add books to library'.

Also - I've now found that books which have been pre-loaded to one's device are described as 'virtual' and Calibre cannot implement a transfer.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike: Have a look at https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=195323. The thread is old, but the comments are still fairly valid with some new posts at the end.
