I used to use Adobe Digital Editions back when I had a Libra Pro ereader, however now that I have a Kindle, I am wondering can Adobe Digital Editions be of any help to Kindle owners?

It can be used to download ADEPT encrypted epubs that can then be stripped and converted into a Kindlebook--but that's about it.

Only if you buy from other retailers. If you're buying from Amazon, it's of no use to you.

Not very -- you will want to just buy from Amazon, especially as they make it so easy! But if you already have books in ADE, then google Apprentice Alf for help in transferring them to your Kindle.

Very useful when Kobo has a really good coupon available. Buy the book there, with coupon, and then convert (with Alf's help, of course). Otherwise? No, not really.
