Author showing up "Unknow" on epub for Nook
Hi,
I created an epub (3.0) for a client using InDesign CS6, everything has worked out fine except I can't seem to get the Author's name to show up on the Nook. It shows up as "Unknown"; what metadata tag do I need to add/adjust in Dreamweaver (I'm using a Mac and can't use Sigil) to edit the tags so the author's name shows up? Currently, in the content.opf I have the <dc:creator> filled in with the author's name, but to no avail. Thanks, Chris |

The General Discussion Fourm is not a place to discuss issues with epub.
Your thread has been moved to the epub forum. Please take the time to review our site. Don (Moderator) |

Sigil version 0.7.4 should work just fine on a Mac.

Are the Nooks you are creating for epub 3 devices or epub2 devices?
I understood only Apple stuff was 3.0 and not all of 3.0 either. |

<dc:creator opf:role="aut">Lewis Carroll</dc:creator> should work.
Look in our wiki https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/EPub#OPF or https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/OPF You can use tweak EPUB found in our wiki to fix the opf file directly using a simple text editor. |
