News/magazine articles thanks to 'send to kindle' plugin

Hi, what I'm reading and exploring are offline web pages sent to Kindle through the Firefox and Chrome plug in of that very name

Brilliant. For example, if you are into medieval history, pop here: http://www.finerollshenry3.org.uk/co...the_month.html

Find a suitably intriguing title and, if you have the plug in and are using the browser, (personally, on my Mac, Chrome works best), click on the 'send to kindle' icon top of screen and off it goes - bypassing the need to email yourself.

I've a collection called Samples and Snippets - currently immersed in that. Review pages of the Times Literary Supp are particularly dangerous since you can read the review on the device and then hop over to the Amazon store if the book seems unmissable. Brrrrrr..... fiendish!!!!

But I could well be teaching my grandmother... etc, since you guys may have been using the facility for ages. Not sure how long it's been around in the UK/Europe...

Here's a neat example: http://www.finerollshenry3.org.uk/re...fm-11-2012.pdf
Subject is less academic than some and the layout is good....

I use this plug-in when I find short stories online. It works great! I read news articles on my phone using Pocket, but I would rather read short stories on my Kindle.

Pangolin,

Are you referring to the official Amazon "Send to Kindle" extension, or is this a third-party product?

The reason I ask is that the official Amazon product has earned an awful lot of bad reviews (for the Firefox version). See https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...views/?src=api

I haven't tried it myself yet, and I'm not doubting your word. I just wondered if it was the same product.

At present, I use Pocket, which is good for sending stuff to my Android tablet, but it doesn't directly support the physical Kindle (as far as I know).
