Using calibre with samsung galaxy tab3
My eyes are bleeding from reading all about using a samsung galaxy and trying to get my books onto it from calibre. I put aldiko on the samsung. I tried to use blue tooth to send books but they are rejected. I absolutely do not understand any of the ideas I have read about except to assume that my apple computer is really pissed at Samsung and refuses to make sending books possible. I still have my rect for the samsung. Should I just return it for a kindle?
I need understandable instructions if possible. I have read that calibre info page on androids but cannot understand it. Lexxy |

Welcome to the forum.
I may not be able to help you, since I have a Nexus 7 and a Windows 7 computer. But I can say that I have no problems using Calibre Companion to transfer ebooks from my calibre library to my Nexus. Pardon me if I'm being too obvious, but are you using Calibre Companion, or trying to download directly from your calibre library? You must use the Calibre Companion app. |

I don't know where to put the calibre companion...on the samsung or the computer?
I went back to the store and the samsung rep took 2 1/2 hours to finally us A card in the samsung galaxy and down load and store the Books there in porting then into the Moon reader app that would take mobi files. I still think it's up hard because apple hates samsung. But thanks for the help. |

My setup is the same as AlexBell's. I use Windows 7 and connect my tablet wirelessly to calibre as a device via Calibre Companion.

Calibre Companion is an App for Android that works great to connect your device wirelessly to calibre on your Mac. I use Moon+ Reader too but always feed it ePubs. It seems as if Apple hates Microsoft more since it does not support allowing any device to connect via MTP. Last edited by DoctorOhh; 01-21-2014 at 03:17 AM. |

Dr ohhh ....thanks. I will try the calibre companion app route. I assume nexus is some kind of tablet
I'm a bit lost since I have been out of the country for 9 years sailing around the word and have a lot of technology to catch up on. So glad to know this forum is here. Lexxy |
