Highlighting & notes lost converting to PDF
I've tried both the Kindle for PC Windows application and Nook for PC Windows application and encountered the same problem. If I highlight text and/or add notes and then try to convert the .azw3 or .epub to a PDF, the highlighting and notes are lost.
Is there any Windows e-reader or e-reader format where Calibre will preserve highlighting and notes created in the e-reader when converting to a PDF? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. |

The book doesn't have highlighting OR notes. What it does have is a sidecar file which the applications read in order to generate your notes/highlights.
If you highlight from a Kindle e-ink device, I know a file called "My Clippings.txt" is created, which can be imported into calibre using the Annotations plugin, into a configured custom column. When inserting a metadata jacket into a book (using calibre's Polish Book option) this column should be included. |
