Is Kindle PW2 also called Kindle PW Next Gen?

No doubt that is a stupid question but since I bought my Kindle 4 (probably called something else now) I haven't really looked at the ebook reader scene since then but now all these new devices with built in lights has me really wanting a new Kindle - mainly the PW2. I am just wondering if it is also called PW Next gen as that is what the Amazon site is currently selling for $139.

Sorry for the stupid question!

Yes, same thing. Amazon never give version numbers to Kindles - the numbers you'll see in this forum are just a convention we've adopted among ourselves. Amazon have never sold any device called a "Kindle 4", for example.

Thanks, Harry. Yeah, that is something I have picked up here. I think I have seen what I knew as the Kindle 4 now called something else here now though. So many different Kindles to keep up with!

I've seen the PW2 called PW2, Paperwhite Next Generation, and Paperwhite 2013.
