Troubleshooting DX 5-Way Selector Woe

As another poster recently noted--I love my Kindle DX!

Unfortunately the 5-Way selector is down to 4 ways--right (or forward) doesn't work.

Does anyone know of a fix for this other than buying a new selector button and trying to tinker away?

Possibly a way to remap the [forward] to a keyboard button?

CS would not take it back

Failure of the 5-way selector is a common fault in the DX and Kindle Keyboard, and is probably one of the reasons Amazon switched to a touch screen. Not a lot you can do about it other than to perhaps look out for a cheap broken DX and "transplant" the keyboard from it.
