custom columns - comments section?

Did a bit of searching, but since comments is such a generic term, found difficult to find anything. Tried without the comments in search and still having a hard time.

Basically I want to be able to setup a custom column to pull data from the comments section of the tag browser. Obviously since there is a lot of text there, don't need the entire thing posted under the heading. Every so often I have a bunch of ebooks with no comments, so would be nice to be able to group them together via sorting/custom column.

The custom column can't use the long text like coments... since the last part of it says no shown in tag browser. Which it is shown.

Does this make any sense? If not, then maybe that's why I can find anything

@musthavemissedit - Maybe something like this will get you somewhere like where you want to be
  • Create a Y/N column - hascomments (Has Comments)
  • To find books with no comments search comments:false. Edit the metadata of those books to put a 'N' in the Has Comments column.
  • To find books with comments search comments:true. Edit the metadata of those books to put a 'N' in the Has Comments column
If that proves to be useful you could then rejig the above into a Column built from other columns, behaves like tags column type so that the Y/N will be automatically 'assigned' to books.
