Question Add existing booklist to calibre.

I have a book history list from my local library which uses 'Overdrive' software in its online site. There are over 550 books in the list that I have already read.
I would like to add/incorporate this into calibre so that I can avoid duplicating ebooks that I have already read.

Is there a way to add/merge this list into calibre?

I also have it in MS Excel format with just 'title' and 'author' so that I can print the list when I go to the library to check out new reads.

So, I don't want to download and convert these books....I just want to incorporate the list into calibre.

Is that possible?

Check out the Import List plug-in; it may be helpful.

Import List plug-in seems to merge Title and Author fields into Title field in the default book list....what now?

@byingme - save the excel spreadsheet as a csv, suggest you use ';' as the separator (titles often have comma's), then import the csv - see attachment

Or quote the "Title, with, a, comma". Spreadsheets should do this automatically.
