Validating ePub3 with Calibre: 1. When ever I use "Edit book" calibre automatically "fixes" my content.opf file. it adds namespaces as follows: Original: PHP Code:
			PHP Code:
			2. In order to pass validation and have backwards compatibility with ePub2 readers I need to add both toc.ncx and toc.html files. When I click to add toc.html file in the package it adds the file outside the OEBPS folder, is that fixable by changing configuration? 3. META-INF/com.apple.ibooks.display-options.xml Quote:
  4. Is there a way to generate the toc.html file according to headings in the book? same function that Sigil offers...? is it still in development, if so, when is it due? Thanks, | |

			1. Turn off automatic metadata update in preferences under calibre integration. Though the namespaces are pefectly valid. It is epubcheck as usual that has its head up its arse. 2. Choose whatever name you want for the file, including directories when you are adding the file. 3. No you should not add that file to the manifest, calibre will warn you about such files since they are typically reader specific files that contain out of band information. It's up to you to either delete the file or ignore the warning, or add the file to the manifest, if possible. 4. It's absolutely pointless making toc.html if you already have toc.ncx. epub 3 supports toc.ncx, just use it. |
