Colleen McCullough's Masters of Rome ebooks 12/17

The first five books in McCullough's Masters of Rome series, not previously available in ebook format, are finally being released on December 17. Amazon has them for pre-order at $5.82 each, which is not bad for these doorstop novels. Books 6 and 7, which are from a different publisher (S&S), are still over $10.

(Here is the series order from FictFact.)

If he(?) doesn't, I'm happy to do so. Very enjoyable historical novels, although the pre-order prices I see are very different at $9.78.

I am recommending them to readers who appreciate dense, authentic historical fiction. And long books, because they are.

I've read Caeser and Caeser's Women and have wanted to read the rest of the series but have had a hard time finding the early books. I'm thrilled they are going to be available as ebooks, although I'm really hoping they aren't Kindle only.

The first five ebooks are being published by a UK publisher I'm not familiar with called Head of Zeus. Maybe they're trying Amazon first to see how they do? Or maybe since they seem to be small outfit, they would be receptive to requests to sell them elsewhere. Their twitter feed is @Hoz_Books.

The Head Of Zeus versions appear to be available from Kobo. I'm hoping they will be couponable.

Thanks for the info, I was reading parts 2 and 3 a few years back, unfortunately they're really hard to get in Germany, whether translated or in English.
Great news they're about to be released as ebooks and 3.90€ is a fair price. Sometimes I just love my Kindle

Thank you for the recommendation. I'm never reading as much history or historical fiction as I'd like, and the Classical Era is of particular interest.

They are couponable at Kobo. I just picked up the first in the series for $2.70 with a 55% off coupon.

The first 5 volumes are now available as a "boxed set". The price at Amazon is $17.64, which works out to about $3.50 per title. Having one huge volume may not be as convenient as separate books, but that's certainly a nice price! I had pre-ordered it last week, and it was delivered today (1 March 2014). Also available through B&N for $17.99, but is not (yet) listed on Kobo.

Enjoy!

Each one of these five titles can be had for 0.49 pounds or

82 cents each
with the Kobo coupon that is good for 90% today.

I'm showing that all 5 are now listed for sale on Kobo UK.

How do you find the Kobo Coupon? I can only see it as 18% off the price here.
Or is the 90% just in the UK?
