Last firmware available for Mini?
Hi,
I have two Mini (for my daughters), actually with 2.6.2 firmware. So, what is the last firmware available for the Kobo Mini? Thanks in advance. |

yes it is - it is possible to install the 3.0.1 firmware available for the lighted models (a couple of people have done so), but the interface won't look good on the Mini, see here:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...&postcount=647 The message reports Pocket as not working, but other Mini users have it functioning with this firmware version. |

You can go with 2.8.1 on your Mini, it is a good release for the Mini. I haven't tried anything higher than that on mine.

I'd also vote for 2.8.1 - I put it onto my Mini when I just bought it and haven't regretted it yet. 3.0 has issues like garbaged home screen and missing reading stats.

Also, there is nothing wrong with continuing to run 2.6.1 on the Mini. That is what I keep on my Glo (I didn't care for 2.8.1 on the Glo). I can't recall if there were any advantages to putting 2.8.1 on the Mini, but there weren't any disadvantages, so I left it on that.

Thanks very much to all you guys for your comments. I think I will stay with 2.6.2. As all of you say, there is nothing wrong with it.
thanks again. |
