Device: BeBook Mini black
error by reading booklist from hanlin V5 device

When I connect my bebook mini (already 3 years succesfully connected with calibre as an Hanlin V5 device), calibre says it detects my device, the device info reads succesfully, but I get alway an error when calibre tries to read the booklist:

Quote:
[Errno 22] invalid mode ('wb') or filename: u'H:\\metadata.calibre'

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 85, in run
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 480, in _books
File "site-packages\calibre\devices\usbms\driver.py", line 249, in books
File "site-packages\calibre\devices\usbms\driver.py", line 395, in sync_booklists
File "site-packages\calibre\devices\usbms\driver.py", line 392, in write_prefix
IOError: [Errno 22] invalid mode ('wb') or filename: u'H:\\metadata.calibre'
Calibre doesn't show any book that's on my device. Sending books by calibre to my device seems to work

If the folks with problems like this in the past are any guide it sounds like it is time to reformat your device. Is there an option in your menu that allows you to format internal memory? If so use it.

Good luck.

My PEz is also a V5. It does not have a Reformat.
Use Windows to check the (Linux filestor type drive) or move the SD card to a card reader and do it there

You could try deleting the file calibre.metadata
It will take quite some time, easy 5-10 minutes if you have 1000's of books, to regenerate after connecting to Calibre.

I did a reformat. Made FAT32 like stated in the previous posts (was still FAT). Before formatting, i kopied all books to my computer and put them back on my device, without the calibre.metadata file.
Works perfect now again. Thanks for the help!
