Hi everyone, this is my first post so don't expect much, I just wanted to say Hello and set back to see what the general drift of the conversations are. I live in the western part of the United States(Idaho), and I am retired after 35 years in the service industry-Baker/pastry chef. I set out this morning to find places to get books for a new (to me), reading device called the Kindle. Hope to meet new people and manage not to step on anyones ideas or toes while doing it.

Wow I'm in the wrong business. If you can retire after 3 years as a Baker... sign me up!

Hi Frank and welcome to the Forum. I hope you meant 30 years and not 3. If so, I'm in teh wrong business too.

Yep, I was wrong on the years and didn't proofread my post enough. It was 35 years as a baker/pastry chef. I did however have a 3 year school (Chef and Baker) and the a 3 year apprenticeship some of which was served while I was in school. My family have owned resturants so I guess thats why I choose my profession as I loved the business.
