Google Nexus 7 2013 tablet app questions
Just purchased one of these most excellent 7" tablets as I am not willing to pay a extra $200 on an iPad Mini.
So the main questions now being; What might be the best PDF and ebook reader (even other apps) for my new shiny? |

I had the same questions, and here are my answers for now:
Any advice on all three counts will be appreciated. |

You might also want to look at Mantano as it supports epub and PDF and handles both pretty well.
A few regressions have creeped into it at the moment, but I'm currently testing a new beta for that that is fixing many of these issues. |

I've been using Google Play Books recently. Very simple reader, but offers day/night mode and font sizes, which is all I need. The advantage is that you upload your books to your account on the PC and they will show up on your device.

I also picked up the new Nexus 7 recently, and downloaded Moon+ pretty quickly. However, for the most part I'm just using the Play Books app; it has the basic features I'm looking for (search, dictionary, etc.), but lets you upload your own books and syncs those uploaded books across devices.

For me, extensive layout customisation options are a must, which is why I opted for Moon+ Reader Pro, at least for now. I also purchasded the full version of Mantano, but I find the formatting options in Moon+ superior over Mantano, as far as I can see. The only thing I find impossible to customise in Moon+ is the size of the first-line indent, which is too bad.
(By the way, Moon+ also supports syncing of some sort, though I don't use it because I only own a single Android device for now.) |

EzPDF is my favorite PDF reader although the official Adobe reader isn't bad. Many others don't support text reflow or do a poor job of it. For everything else, I prefer Moon+ although many prefer Mantano. Either will do a good job. It's mostly a matter of personal preference.
