Mobi conversion problems

I've never had a problem converting to mobi from any format before but within the last few days, no matter what file or format I convert from, I end up with a blank white page with the top right hand corner folded over.

This happens whether I use Calibre or any online converter. I don't have any issues transferring to any other format. I can use azw3 to add it to my kindle for Mac, but I can't send it to my phone, as Amazon does not recognize the format and I don't like reading pdfs if I can avoid them.

To the best of my knowledge, I haven't deleted or added any software or plugins.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Though given that you say you can read azw3 but not mobi, it's likely the files you are converting contain some markup that mobi cannot handle and calibre cannot automatically downconvert.

But it's no longer converting files that it previously converted!

And you expect us to be able to magically intuit why? Most probably you changed your MOBI output settings to produce KF8 or joint MOBI files, despite the warning below that option that tells you that it will cause problems with some devices. However, I am done wasting my time guessing. If you cant be bothered to provide even the minimum amount of information I ask for, why do you imagine I will be bothered to help?

The problem is still persisting no matter what file I try to convert to mobi.

I'm sorry. I did not mean to offend you. You have not to the best of my knowledge asked me for any specific information. All you replied was "it's likely the files you are converting contain some markup that mobi cannot handle and calibre cannot automatically downconvert", which does not seem to imply provide information. I did not change any settings that I know of. In fact, until I read your message I did not even know there WERE mobi settings to change.

I have submitted a detailed big report on the issue, including input and output files, as well as the following log when I just attempted to convert from azw3 to mobi:
