Check Title from Epub
Hi there...

First of all, to the developers of the quality check plugin, I have to say - wow, and thank you.

Now that I have everything cleaned up, I would like to check the title contained in the epub with the title that is set in Calibre.

Is there any way to do that?

If you are saying you want the metadata inside the ePub to match the one in Calibre, then simply use the Polish Books feature of Calibre (or the Modify ePub plugin) to update the embedded metadata to match that shown in Calibre.

If you are looking for some way of simply being being shown books where they do not match I do not know of any easy way of doing that. It could probably be done via a plugin - but I am not sure there would be any interest in developing such a plugin.

The flaw in the check idea is 'What if the book has been Polished'?
The jacket is created from Calibre's data.

There may be a non-calibre: title page, half title or copyright page which has the original title and/or author.
Viewing the book is the only to be sure. Even that won't help if none of the above pages exist

You could try comparing calibre title vs an ISBN search result - assuming the ebook has an ISBN number associated with it. You may need to confirm with more than one reliable source to avoid errors. Accidents, typos and out right lies do occur.
