Clear the screen after eips - DEVELOPERS CHALLENGE!

I find annoying the inability of clearing eips-writed areas. I've tried different approaches, for example this one:

lipc-set-prop com.lab126.powerd powerButton 1; wait 1; lipc-set-prop com.lab126.powerd powerButton 1;

It works but is reeeeally ugly (enter screensaver mode - exit screensaver mode).

Who will be able to find a solution for this dilemma?

I think geekmaster or twobob had a script to save the state of the screen and restore after a call to eips. I can't seem to find it now, but it was maybe early this spring?

Yup, which is also roughly what I did in the ScreenSavers KUAL extension to preview the current active screensaver

.

dump fb => show stuff => restore fb => refresh screen (ioctl/eips '')
