psion 3a

Hi, anyone interested in a Psion 3a in good shape with lots of accessories, leather cover, memory cards, manuals, cables, extra software, etc.? The Psions were surprisingly good for their time. Make me an offer. I live in the U.S. (Maine).

Nate, I answered. Watching the game with one eye. Overtime! Not sure I sent it correctly. Did you get it? John

Heavens - that's a "blast from the past"! The Psion 3a was the first "real" PDA, with a wonderful "clamshell" design that's still unbeatable, IMHO. I still have mine.

I had a Psion II - that was my first "hand-held computer", but the Psion 3 series was, I think, a vastly more usable system. It was the first system I "seriously" read eBooks on. I wasn't really differentiating the 3 and the 3a in my comment (largely because I've forgotten what the difference between the two actually was ).

Check the wiki under Psion.

the 3 had a much smaller screen that was only 80 pixels high while the 3a had the much more acceptable 160 pixel high screen.

My wife still reminds me (too often) of my stupidity for selling mine on eBay ... She loved the crosswords solves feature ... I think mine was a 5 series if I'm not mistaken.
This was probably one of the most useful PDAs I've ever seen.

It was a great machine. I wrote a bunch of programs for it under contract for determining small boat (20' and under) safety and stability. Read a bunch of books on mine too. I still have it.

Pretty soon this might have museum value.
I wouldn't sell it if I were you, you'll regret it in a few years. But that's just me, I still have my Commodore 64.
