Here's another discount program from Amazon.

It's hard to keep up with Amazon. They're all over the place. I started this thread - Current Amazon Offers - to act as a master index of all book related deals from Amazon. I really don't expect any discussion there.

I just noticed on the Amazon website that Saturday delivery is no longer "standard". They've changed it to only have Saturday deliveries for an extra charge. Anyone else noticed that? I know I've had things delivered on Saturday before for no extra fee, so I don't know when this went into effect....

I never have UPS delivery on Saturdays from Amazon with Prime.

My packages from Amazon have mostly been delivered via USPS, not UPS. Sometimes it looks like they start out at UPS, and then are "handed off" to the postal service.

I know the post office is planning to cancel Saturday free service (packages, I believe would still be delivered), but last I knew, that got put on hold.

I haven't gotten a UPS or FedEx Saturday delivery from Amazon in years. On the rare occasion something comes USPS it might come on a Saturday if that just happens to be the day USPS has it to be delivered.

USPS has recently restructured its delivery business.
Prices went up in all sorts of ways.
There was talk of ending Saturday mail delivery so it may be that Saturday package deliveries now carry a surcharge.

I've had FedEx deliver from Amazon on Saturday, but never UPS.

Thanks for this. I knew about Matchbook, Daily Deals, Monthly Deals, etc., but I did not know about these Kindle exclusive deals.

Fedex ground only delivers (to homes) on Tues-Sat. So, if it goes out that way, you still get Sat deliveries. Until the USPS is allowed to cancel Sat deliveries, those will still be coming, too.

UPS and regular Fedex only deliver on Saturday during the holiday rush, anyway.
