I'm not exactly sure how I feel about it, to tell the truth. I thought I was a book-and-a-half away from being done with Fitz and the Fool forever. I was emotionally prepared for it to be over and everything. Now? I'm a bit conflicted. Still... it's good news for lots of people, so I'll just be happy for them for now (while I finish the Tawny Man trilogy and decide how I feel when it's over).

Hum. I agree with that. OTOH I haven't read the fourth set of related trilogies (the Dragon Keeper one?) so I don't know if that includes some more of at least the Fool's story. Just taking the Tawny Man... Huh, conflicting feelings. One part of me feels that the end of the Tawny man was a good (if not exactly satisfying) ending to the whole Fitz/Fool story arch. The other part of me feels like it wasn't an ending at all. In any case, I will read the new books if/when they come out.
So good news, I guess. The three trilogies I have read by her (Royal Assassin, Magic Ships, Tawny Man) belong to the few books I actually own in paper because I love them so much.

I've read the same books as you, Jdschi. I was happy with the Tawny Man ending and felt that Fitz needed a break. I didn't think the Fool's story was finished with though, and I don't know if it is continued in the Dragon Keeper books. But more Realm of the Elderlings books are a good thing!

That is a great news, I really love Royal Assassin and Tawny Man and the Fool and Fitz are my favorite characters. I tried to read the ships trilogy and found it awful though. I'm looking forward to that.

Yeah, been keeping up on this. Looking forward to it. But Robin is my favorite author (her Lindholm stuff is decent also).

Poor Fitz is going to get dragged through hell again, I can just see it. I expect it takes place after the rather lengthy ending sequence in the Tawny Man Trilogy. I wonder if Fitz is going to be the Chade of the books this time around?

Unless she ret-cons the ending again (kind of like she did for the end of Farseer and the Tawny Man trilogy).
