Thank you Kovid Goyal! (Calibre)

It occurred to me today as I upgraded to the latest version of Calibre that I have been using this wonderful little program since I've been using ereaders! I've been able to tweak and convert and add covers and liberate my books to a degree that would be UNpossible if we were forced to use the basic tools that the hardware makers provide us with. It occurred to me that quite possibly Calibre has been the most important piece of software on my computer for at least the past three years and I have never paid a CENT for it! It's not that I'm cheap (well, I am) but Calibre is just so darned convenient and so a part of my life that I've never even thought twice about it. Well today I decided to rectify that and actually click on that little Paypal link on his update page. Sorry to be so late Kovid. I hope all of us who have taken the program for granted will take time to appreciate what you've offered up for free.

I donated a sum shortly after I first took Calibre, it's worth every penny, in fact it's probably worth a subscription fee. I couldn't mange ebooks without it.

Every now & then, pop in the price of a few pints !

Better for you, and better for Calibre ....

Where would we be without it ....

Calibre makes my eReading life so much easier and better!
I donate a small sum now and then but, I have to admit, nowhere near what it's worth!
Thanks for the reminder!!

Absolutely agree. I love Calibre and have donated but not enough compared to the value I receive. Must remedy this.

I too have been using Calibre for as long as I've been reading ebooks and can't imagine how I'd cope without it. I make a point of clicking the donation button annually and will happily continue to do so indefinitely.

Thank you Kovid & Team!

Agreed. Couldn't cope with all the books I buy without it.

Same here. I think I used it maybe twice and was so amazed that I went to donate. He is making such a difference in the ebook world that I was thinking of suggesting an annual Celebrate Kovid Day or Week here at MR, to remind peeps to donate again.
