Nook tablet accessory clearance at Target?

I noticed that my local Target store has a random selection of cases for the Nook Color, HD, and HD+ for 50% off although some are still full price. They also have the HDMI adapter for the HD/HD+ for 50% off. I'm not sure if this is all Target stores or just some as the online price seems to be normal price. So, YMMV.

Prices on the clearance items have been further reduced to 70% off. The HDMI adapter is only $11.98 now and I'm picking up a blue Groovy stand for my HD+ for $13.48...

Thanks for mentioning that sale at Target. I drove over today and picked up a
HDTV adapter kit for $11.98 and a cute cover for my HD for $10.98. Makes me a happy camper today!

Glad you got what you wanted at a price you liked.

. I'm almost wishing I'd waited and picked up the HDMI kit at $12 instead of $20, but I've already used it a couple of times on a recent trip. Still much better than $40.

I saw the cables were on sale at my Target too, but since the Nook HD+ that I bought to use as an Android tablet seems to be exclusively an ebook reader

I haven't been able to convince myself it's worth getting an HDMI cable.

I'll have to go back and see again; if they go below $10, I might find it worth throwing the money away on it, on the chance I install some app that is NOT a book reader app on it!

Considering the HD+ has a 1080p screen, it's just begging to be used as a video screen.

Many of the apps such as Netflix, Hulu+, and the native video player enter "cinema mode" when connected via HDMI so that the video goes full screen on the TV and play/pause controls display on the tablet screen.
