How can I enable the "absolute" full screen mode in Calibre?
Sorry if this is a silly question, but I can't find that in the preferences. This is what show up to me: http://i.imgur.com/rQagAU0.png
Btw: this Ubuntu with a Mac theme, not a Mac. I just like Mac's intuitive look. |

What you see in the image is already what happens when I click the full screen button or press F11. It still show the side bar. It wasn't supposed to be like that:
http://iloveubuntu.net/calibre-0844-...ullscreen-mode I am on Windows now and this is what shows in the preferences page of the ebook viewer: http://i.imgur.com/FtJKnoB.png |

Wait a second, this is what happens when I press F11: http://i.imgur.com/ww8NH6t.png
The upper bar of Ubuntu disappears, but everything else stays. |

I cannot replicate your results, make sure you are using the official calibre install from http://calibre-ebook.com/download_linux not whatever broken calibre package your distro provides.

The problem was solved by upgrading Calibre. Apparently, I downloaded it from the Ubuntu store and that version is not up to date (8.8, or something like that).
Many thanks for the help. ![]() |
