Transferring a Kindle Book with USB cable
If I transfer a book with USB cable to my Paperwhite, will there be anything missing that I can only get if I connect to Amazon wirelessly?

How about the author profile, X-Ray, annotation, highlight and bookmarks?

I am asking because it seems that if I transfer a book with USB, the only file Amazon send is one file like Novel.azw but isn't there supposed to be extra files that come with it - not just the main azw files?

That is correct - you won't get things like page numbers, x-ray, etc. You only get those if you download the book from Amazon's servers.

Personally, that doesn't bother me in the least. Only you can decide if it's important for you.
