Why does Calibre open my AZW3 file as a MOBI?
The file is clearly AZW3 but when I open it, it is recognized as a MOBI. How do I open it in its native format? I would rather not doing conversion to solve this problem.

AZW3 is an improved variant of mobi.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compari...ats#Mobipocket And calibre can only open/view books in the epub format. All other formats are converted on the fly to epub, before they are opened. |
