Stop plugins from overwriting the ISBN ID?

Is it possible to stop plugins from overwriting the ISBN ID number?

For instance when I have the ISBN13 number filled out and use the BOL.nl or Goodreads plugin they will overwrite the ISBN number with the one they find online and I do not want that.

There's no way to do it in general. You'll have to ask the individual plugin authors.
