Overview

rdesktop is an open source client for Windows Remote Desktop Services, capable of natively speaking Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) in order to present the user's Windows desktop. rdesktop is known to work with Windows versions such as NT 4 Terminal Server, 2000, XP, 2003, 2003 R2, Vista, 2008, 7, and 2008 R2.

To edit the configs:
Put your USERNAME, PASSWORD and the IP/URL of the server to connect to in the the runner.sh file. That is all that is required.


ADVANCED USAGE:

To connect to another/different server an additional runner2.sh has been included for convenience.

you can make as many - or as few - of these as you like, simply make sure that the entries in the menu.json file match up with whatever scripts you make

menu.json example for two buttons:

There are a BUNCH of options for this thing and that is all outlined in the runner.sh file(s)

For now I am going to release one that you edit the configs of "by hand".

This release is configured for screen size of a PAPERWHITE - The WIDTH + HEIGHT are configurable however to allow for touch devices.

I've ran on my KT 5.1.2 and gotten the folowing errors:

WARNING: Display colour depth is 8 bit: you may want to use -C for a private colourmap.
ERROR: Failed to open keymap en-us
Segmentation fault

I do not know whether or not it can run KT. Can you show me why?

Is the device modified at all?

it relies on no libraries.
I tested it on a totally virgin Touch too...

I'm not sure, maybe I've modified some libraries file when trying with debian. I'm going to update my KT to 5.3.2.1,then test it again.

Let me try and isolate those to the system ones.

edit: I did manage to get it reboot X one time with multiple rapid relaunches but that aside even hardcoding LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib:/lib (just to be sure) rdesktop runs from those libs.

I would simply suggest running yours:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib:/lib /mnt/us/extensions/rdesktop/bin/rdesktop blah...
if you think library pollution is the issue.

I've upgraded my KT to 5.3.2.1. But I still get those errors:
