Newly added books don't appear on Kindle Touch

HI!

I have a Kindle touch and have just added some books to my library but I can't 'see' them on my device. When I access my Kindle via calibre they're definitely on the device. i have already tried rebooting my kindle but there is no change..

If anyone can help, it'll be much appreciated..

The general reason for newly-added books not appearing is that one book gets stuck while indexing.

Remove the books you've added, then re-add them in small batches, and allow each batch to complete indexing before adding the next.

To see if you have unindexed books, go to the home screen and do a search for a nonsense string. If there are unindexed books it'll come back and say "NN items currently unindexed".

There are several possible explanations. How did you add the books? What format were they in? Is the device registered to you? Were these books transferred via USB from a previous device you owned?
