Calibre hangs when installing!

Win7 64bit Pro based machine - self built and everything seems to work, strangely enough when I tried installing Calibre 64bit version, the install hangs!

I have tried cleaning out the registry, tried rebooting the system -- with no success.

Please note I have installed the software on another machine and that works fine .. this is very strange.

Any help would be most welcome! Thank you.

Try the calibre sub-forum here... probably faster response from better informed people as well as software creator...

I have no clue what is happening. The Install process just hangs and I have to go into "Process Explorer" and have to "manually kill (msiexe.exe) the process". I typically see 2 of these processes and kill them both then I can try installing but with the same results.

I will try running the portable version.

I was hoping that someone else might have gone through what I am experience with Win7 64bit Ultimate and will recommend something to try. But here is to hoping
