About the "perspective" property

It happens something rare with the "perspective" property under Sigil. When I use the form:

Code:
-webkit-transform: perspective(depth) rotateX(deg) rotateY(deg);
works perfectly. For example, with a depth of 200px and rotateY(15deg) I got the following results (first image without perspective effect and second image with the effect):

But when I want to use another syntax, it doesn't work; for example:

Code:
-webkit-perspective: 200;
-webkit-perspective-origin: 50% 90px;
-webkit-transform: rotateY(15deg);
Why is this? Is that can't I set the perspective-origin in any way?

Many thanks in advance for any comment about this.

Is this going to work on any reader? It looks like one of those things that will work in calibre or sigil, but not on a reader.

Most readers? ... probably not. But there's a good chance it could work on any reading apps (iBooks?) or (future?) devices based on WebKit (which means it very well could be viable when converting ePubs to Kindle books, too).

Still ... you're right. It probably should be considered "bleeding-edge" for now. Suitable for personal experimentation at least.

To the OP: I'd probably check bug reports and the like for the version of Qt (or more specifically Qt's Webkit) your version of Sigil is built with. Sounds like a very likely "it's a Qt bug" issue to me.

So far works on iBooks. Also a very good -webkit- set of properties work in Kindle.
