HD Problem with latest Moon+ Reader Pro

I have been using Moon+ Reader Pro for a while and like it very much. The biggest problem has been it's insistence that I update whenever a new version is available.

This has become a bigger problem with the release of version 2.0. I downloaded the new version using BlueStacks, but when I try to install it says that it cannot install and quits.

Now I have to turn off wireless, so it can't look for a new version. If I don't it will look for and find the new version and then crash when I say cancel to install it.

Any suggestions for either turning off the check for new version or how to install version 2.0?

I emailed the developer several days ago, but I have not received a response yet.
