Flipbar question

As I have been using my new iLiad over the past couple of days I have noticed something about the flipbar that I'd like to ask for some observations and opinions.

On my iLiad, the flipbar is not centered, it leans slightly to the right of top-dead-center. I also note that in that pushing it to the left takes more effort and makes an audible 'click' while pushing it. On the other hand, pushing it to the right takes less effort, moves a smaller distance and has a barely discernible 'click' on the return. In other words the flipbar does not operate symmetrically.

Is this normal for the iLiad or might there be something....odd...with my unit?

-many thanks,

Jeff

That sounds about normal. I have mine set to use left->right motion to switch to the next page. Seems more natural to me... And it seems to prevent the "random 5 page forward" problem.

Hi Adam,

That's how I've set mine as well....for the same reasons.

..and it's good to know that my unit is 'normal'.

-many thanks,

Jeff

The same here, too.
I don't like the "pushing to the left" click sound.
I reversed default direction setting. Much more pleasant.

My flipbar's right in the centre, and clicks in both directions, though it's *slightly* louder to the left.

Mine makes a click sound in both directions too......but

When pushed to the right, does your flipbar click on the push or the return? Same question for pushing it to the left?

Same here a bit but clearly noticeable louder to the left. But nothing that would bother me...

Mine's 100% symmetrical, in both action and sound.
