Wifi problems
I can't connect to my Wifi, my Paperwhite says that I don't have the right password but I do. What's wrong?

Honestly? It probably is the wrong password. Try a different device and enter the password manually and if it works then you can be sure that the password is correct and the Kindle is at fault.
The last time I tried adding a device, I finally figured out the reason I couldn't get through was because what I thought was the letter 0 was a zero. |

The Amazon Troubleshooting page suggests restarting the Kindle and double checking that Airplane mode is off.

I was able to download the rest of my books at the restaurant while at lunch so my Kindle works just fine

One other possibility is that your wireless might not be entirely standards compliant... I wouldn't have believed it possible but a friend bought a new laptop and when installed with XP or Vista it worked just fine but Win 7 or Win 8 just nothing until we changed out the AP (everything else the same, same SSID)

You sound certain about that (and it's not that we don't believe you) but you really should confirm it.
Reset your AP's password to what you know it should be. Or better yet, have a friend stop by with another wifi device (laptop, phone, whatever) and make sure you can get it connected from scratch. I do this for a living and I still have wasted far too much time being sure I knew the password only to realize that I'd been using the password from the OTHER office, or to find out that someone else had reset it and not told anyone. ![]() |

If your router supports WPS then that is much easier than typing in a password.
