Already hacked but fail to change screensaver?

Hi guys,
I've already jailbroken my kindle 4 black and installed screensaver hack on it. And I also find the folder named screensavers in linkss. But unfortunately, after I restart my kindle, the screensaver is still blank and show nothing.
How could it be? I do think my procedures are correct.
BTW, l once succeeded long before and changed the screensaver with my own picture.But after I reset my device and tried to do this again, I failed.
PLZ help me with this problem.

Is that because I did a Restore Factory Default before? If so, how to settle it?

hi stephanie, maybe it is because you reset your kindle... maybe not.

but it will not hurt to install the jailbreak/screen saver hack again.
nothing will break.

so, after you install it, do you see the custom screensaver that is installed by the screensaver hack?

THX for anwering.
I tried installing jailbreak and screensaver hack several times. But the screensaver never changed for custom one or my own one.
Any other ideas?

"the screensaver is still blank and show nothing"

Two possible causes:
No screen saver image found (that is just the screen showing) ;
A screen saver image found which is either all white or empty .

Have you done the "uninstall" step before each time you tried to re-install the SS ?
If not, you may be leaving an empty file behind that does not get replaced by the install process.

Another possibility (although maybe only part of your problem) -
Is your Kindle a SO (Special Offers) device?
If so, contact Amazon to have the SO feature disabled.

I'll try uninstalling the SS and re-installing it again. Hope that can solve my problem.
My kindle isn't a SO one and already unsubscribed the ads.

OMG! What's wrong with my k4!
I've tried all I can but it's still not working!
ALWAYS SHOW ME THE BLANK SCREENSAVER!
I just want to say, let it go...

Is it really doing that?
Then delete the blank screensaver file.

OR

Is the screen just blank?
As in not showing anything except the erased screen.

We can't be of much help if you don't tell us which is the problem.

yes, when I set kindle in the "sleep" model, its screensaver shows nothing but erased screen.It's blank.

Are you LONG pressing the power button or just pressing momentarily? Long press hibernates the kindle and no ss is shown.
