Paid for book but won't download onto kobo
hi my mam bought a book for £10 but it won't open on her kobo. can anybody give me some advicde on this please, she has tried re-downloading it and it won't work

It's been awhile since I've seen one, but every now and again, you come across a book that's *not* available in ePub at Kobo. For some reason, I'm thinking those books have to be read at a computer. Is ePub a download choice?

And sometimes they can only be read on a tablet or computer, even if they're epub files. You can check this with the pictographs on the bottom right side of the screen (eBook Information).

Hi Peter, she downloaded from the kobo website. it's on her reader but she can't open it she doesn't have access to a pc(we download books for her). What can she do about getting her money back if she can't get it to work

You might try downloading epub and opening it in ade on your pc to see if it works that way. Or you can bookmark page and see if it works after sync. If it doesn't, send email to kobo. I had similar problem and they returned store credit.

Maybe she just downloaded the acsm file and she doesn't have the proper epub file yet.

You will need to talk to Kobo support. They will try and work out why it hasn't downloaded properly. Unfortunately, they will probably ask you to do a factory reset or at least log out on the device and back in. If it still can't be downloaded, they are the ones to talk to about a refund.

could this not be simply a DRM problem? If she downloaded hte epub, it is probably encumbered with DRM, so she would need the device to be registered etc. Do you know whether she has done so? Also, if you don't mind providing the title of the book she bought, we could check it out better.
