Calibre reader messed up files
I just noticed that the calibre e-book viewer actually changed the filesizes of some epub files which I was reading. The timestamps were also updated.

What is happening here and how do I stop the viewer from modifying ebooks?

This is the calibre viewer adding a bookmark to the file. There is an option to stop that, but for the life of me I don't remember where.

OOPS

In the viewer, goto Preferences | General | Miscellaneous and deselect "Remember the current page when quitting"

Viewer - Preferences - Misc options - uncheck Remember the current page when quitting.
