I noticed while tweaking my Glo's config file to stop it updating that there is an entry :

Code:

3DE53FFD=true

Does anyone have an idea what this is about ?

No idea. I've seen it and wondered about it. It's a different number for both my devices and I think it changes after a factory reset. I've tried changing the value to false, but didn't see any change.
