conversion from mobi to epub
good evening and I am trying to get with a conversion.
I was trying to convert the holy bible from mobi to epub since yesterday.. Tonight it took 4 hours and this is the error after 67 % conversion and then it said the conversion failed. I don't understand what to do as all the other conversions have worked successfully....I would appreciate any help you can give me...Thank you sooo much.

I believe you when you say it failed, but the job details you pasted above doesn't show any error. Are you sure you copied the entire list? What this shows is a conversion in progress with no ending or error showing.

Yes when i view the result it say error conversion failed and thank you for answering my ??.. Fairly new at this and Iam over 60 yrs so things do take a little longer to compute. but i have been trying for 3 days to convert this bible from the kindle to my kobo glo

I know others have posed issues in the past with converting Bibles. I seem to recall that they take a very VERY long time to convert, and that some had more luck with the increased resources that the 64 bit version of calibre made available.

Iam using the newest version of calibre and am trying again right now...the conversion is 47 % at over an hour into it....

Have you read Genesis ?
It didn't happen in an hour


Really Large or complex books can take over a DAY to convert.
Do not be surprised if you run out of resources and the conversion fails.
This kind of task is not for just Meets Minimum Requirement machines

Well I tried it again and the same results...Failure at 67%. I guess files too long or too complicated. Will have to pay for another one for the kobo... Thanks again it it nice to know that there is somewhere I can get help for a newbie like me....Theresa

What operating system are you using? If it's a 64 bit version of Windows try using the 64 bit version of calibre.
