Question about Custom Columns

Is there some way to change the type of an already made custom column?

I have a column that is the type 'text, column shown in tag browser' and I've discovered I really need it to be the type 'comma separated text, like tags, shown in tag browser.' If I go into the Add Your Own Column screen and hit edit there the type bar is greyed out on the information. I thought I'd ask before I remake the column and move the information to it.

Thanks!

No
But you might be able to:
1)create the new column
2)then use the Search and replace feature of the Bulk Metadata edit to copy/transform the data to the new column
