Calibre Installation error

Win 7 Home 64-bit. The standard installation (on standard path in C:\...) works. When I install it on D:\Bücher\Calibre2, I get this error when starting Calibre:
"Python function terminated unexpectedly / DLL load failed: module not found. / (Error Code: 1)"

I suspect that the 'ü' in the path causes this problem; installation in a different folder on D:\ works. Is there a workaround for this problem?

I think it is a problem if the path contains non-ASCII characters (as your example does). At the moment I do not believe there is a workaround.

You have already stated the work around. Just ensure you don't use non-ASCII characters in your path.

I had to do some re-installs, now the folder is 'Buecher', and everything works.
I guess I made this error when installing Win 7 with setting de/DE; I thought this would make Win understand German...
