Glo Kobo glo firmware update problem

Hi all,I updated my kobo glo firmware to 2.5.0. but something went wrong and it does not reset even, someone can help me with an original image of the internal sd to restore the Glo, thank you!!!

With the last couple of firmware updates, there has been a problem with a hang as the firmware updates. I think a pinhole reset or a power off and on fixes gets the device going again.

If it isn't responding, make sure it is off. Hold the power slider in the off position for at least 10 seconds to make sure. Then turn it on. Hopefully the light at the top should start flashing and the device will start again.

I have Glo image that someone else supplied somewhere. As soon as I remember where, I'll send a PM with the link.

Giuseppe, did you let the device update itself via wifi, load the update via the Kobo Desktop, or sideload the update after downloading it from a link?

Thanks to everyone for the support, my kobo does not reset in any way either by inserting an update in the internal sd was not possible to restore the kobo. Thank you very much for the glo image... that instructions should I follow to use this image ?

Have a look at https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=209122. As you are restoring an supplied image, in step 2, don't take a copy of the drive, only do the second half of the step. Then skip step 3.

2.8.1 is the last firmware released for the Glo and Aura HD. 2.9.0 has been release but only for the new Aura. There will be an update for the other devices, but we don't know when.
